Accessibility Settings

Hats & Ladders offers built-in accessibility tools to improve readability and usability. This article explains how to access and use Hats & Ladders' accessibility settings, including color schemes, font size adjustments, and zoom options.

Accessing Accessibility Settings

  1. Log in to your Hats & Ladders account.
  2. Open an Assigned Career Climb and select a Ladder.
  3. Click “Begin” (or “Resume” if you have already started).
  4. In the bottom-left corner of the screen, click the accessibility icon to open settings.
  5. You will see three options: Color Scheme, Font Size, and Zoom.

Color Scheme Settings

  • Change the background and foreground colors for better visibility.

Font Size Settings

  • Adjust text size to make reading easier.

Zoom In/Out

Magnify or reduce your screen using the following:

  Zoom In Zoom Out Zoom Reset

Screenreader Compatibility

Hats & Ladders is designed to work with screen reader technology, supporting accessible navigation throughout the platform.

 

Drag and Drop Activities

Drag and Drop activities can be completed without a mouse and are compatible with screen readers:

  • Use the Tab key to navigate until the draggable item is highlighted and/or announced.

  • Press Enter to select the item.

  • Tab to the drop target, then press Enter again to drop it.
